Naxals kill former insurgent in AP village

Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 2 (UNI) Ultras of the Praja Prathighatana group shot dead a former naxalite branding him as a police informer in Vagideru village dal in this district.

According to police, some armed members of the dalam came to Cheekati Raju's house well past midnight yesterday, took him out and shot him dead.

The naxalites left behind a letter alleging that Raju was responsible for police encounters in Venkatapuram and Gundala recently.

Raju, who was associated with the Praja Prathighatana and Janasakti groups earlier had surrendered before the police along with his wife Kamamma ten years ago, police added.
