Manpower training is necessary to surpass China's Growth
Manipal, Sep 2 (UNI) The public sector Syndicate Bank General Manager B. Pramod said if India had to surpass the growth of China, training of manpower and professional approach were utmost necessary.
Speaking at the inauguration of five-day management programme for executives and managers of small and medium entreprises (SMES), sponspored by the Small Industries development Bank of India, Mr Pramod said, if the country had to surpass the growth of country like China whos half of the total growth came from Small and medium enterprises sector alone.
He said "we need to train our manpower properly to acquire right type of knowledge. Besides, professional expertise, professional approach should be the key word ofthe present managers which was often missing".
Mr Pramod said that the policy statement of the Union Finance Minister had itself was an indicator who had called upon the banks to double the credit to SME sector.
Mr Pramod said that the bank had given a total credit to the tune of Rs 200 crore to train the educated unemployed youth through various training programmes from 40 training centres during the last two decades.
