Kerala financial condition is critical: Minister

Palakkad, Sep 2 (UNI) Kerala Local Self Government Minister Paloli Mohammad Kutty today said the state's financial condition was very critical.

Inaugurating the Kerala 'Saksharatha Prerak' Association district convention here he said if the situation continued, the transactions of the treasury would come to a standstill.

Eventhough the state was going through a financial crisis, it would consider the financial needs of the 'Saksharatha Prerak', he added.

Mr Mohammad Kutty said two per cent of the funds from the three-tire local bodies had been released for the activities of the Association.
