Jet to revise fuel surcharge on domestic tickets from Sept 5
Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) Jet Airways today announced that it will revise the fuel surcharge by Rs 100, on all types of fares in Club Premiere and Economy class tickets, on all domestic routes from September 5.
A press release issued here said the increase in surcharge follows continuous escalation in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices. ATF prices have been increased by per cent by the oil companies from September 1, 2006.
The revised fuel surcharge, which has been increased from Rs 650 to Rs 750, will be applicable on all tickets purchased within and outside India, issued against INR (Indian National Rupee) tariffs.
This surcharge of Rs 750 will be collected per flight coupon on all domestic routes within India. For tickets issued outside India, a surcharge of 16 US dollars per sector will be applicable on domestic travel within India.
The surcharge will not be applicable on sale of tickets made on or before September 4, 2006 as per the ticketed itinerary. However, the surcharge will be applicable if tickets are presented for any voluntary change on or after September 5, the release added.
