IAF choppers drop relief materials in Jhalawar, Baran
Kota, Sept 2 (UNI) The Indian Air Force (IAF) has employed two helicopters to transport relief materials to flood-affected areas in Baran and Jhalawar districts.
Relief minister Kirori Lal Meena, Local Self Government minister Pratap Singh Singhvi and Jhalawar MP and Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's son Dushyant Singh also undertook an aerial survey of the flood affected regions today.
According to district officials, with waters receding in Parvati and Kalisindh rivers, the flood-like situation has somewhat eased in the area.
The IAF helicopters reached Kota yesterday. Mr Dushyant Singh airdopped 400 packets of food in Jhalwar's Chapiheda village today.
Relief materials have also been airdropped in Chabra and Chipabarod in Baran as the area is totally submerged.
