Fast track court sentences three people to lifer

Hardwar, Sep 2 (UNI) The first Fast Track court has sentenced three people to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs five lakh each in murder and dacoity case.

The accused, identified as Rafi alias Furkan, Sonu alias Chhota, Aabid and Parvez, were accused of committed robbery and killing four people in Roorkee in Juky 2003.

However, Aabid was acquitted due to lack of evidence.

District and Sessions Judge Kanta Prasad also ordered the state government to pay an ex-gratia to the next of the kin of the deceased from the fine imposed on the accused.
