About 29 taken ill due to food poisoning in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 2 (UNI) At least 29 people, including 14 women, were hospitalised after they had food at a wedding function in central Kashmir district of Badgam last night, official sources said today.

They said the people were taken ill immediately after they had food at a wedding at Warsangam in Badgam district.

The sources said the invitees were rushed to a hospital where doctors stated that they were suffering from food poisoning.

Ten people were later referred to the SMHS Hospital here in serious condition.

Police have registered a case and started investigations.
