Woman shot by militants

Imphal, Sep 1 (UNI) A woman was shot at by suspected militants last night at Langol, police today said.

Police said the woman identified as Santirani, wounded in the leg, was out of danger and was recuperating in the hospital.

Meanwhile, police said the ''Vice-Army chief'' of People's United Liberation Front (Pulf) and an NSCN(IM) cadre were apprehended from Thoubal district on Wednesday. The PULF leader was identified as Md Abdul Ajeez.
