VTU to conduct workshop on technology use in school education
Hubli, Sep 1 (UNI) Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will conduct a workshop on 'Use of Technology in School Education' using the VTU-EDUSAT network for the benefit of management members, directors, principals and teachers of schools on September six.
According to a VTU release here today, the varsity would be conducting the workshop in association with the Indian Space Research Organisation and Raman International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore.
The main objective of the workshop was to create awareness on the use of technology (satellite-based and web-based connectivity) in school education sector among the selected schools in tier-II cities, the release said.
The live transmission facility had been made in 13 engineering colleges across the State and about 50 participants would attend the workshop in each college and interact with the delegates and panelists, who would be at VTU Studio, Bangalore.
VTU Vice-Chancellor Dr K Balaveera Reddy, SatCom, ISRO Director A Bhaskaranayana, IT Principal Secretary Anup K Pujari and VTU e-learning centre Mysore's special officer Dr G L Shekar would interact with the participants, the release added.
