Three members of family killed in road accident

Kollam, Sep 1 (UNI) Three members of a family, including a 13-year-old girl, were killed and seven injured, when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a mini lorry at Kottiyam in the district today.

The deceased were identified as Sindu (32), her daughter Abhija (13) and Suseela (50), all hailing from Nedumangad in Thiruvananthapuram district, police said.

The mishap occurred when the family was on its way to the Chakkulathukavu Devi temple.

The injured were admitted to a private hospital at Kottiyam.

Police arrested the driver and the cleaner of the lorry.
