Sensex up 62 pts in intra-noon trading
Mumbai, Sept 1 (UNI) Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensitive Index (Sensex) in the intra-noon trade was boosted by the investors sentiment that went positive on successful closing of the August derivatives contracts and the resurgent mood of the benchmark Asian indices.
Currently, the Sensex is trading 62 points upin the green at 11,760.58.
Amongst the sectoral indices on the BSE only IT sector was down in the red, whereas Auto and Bankex were trading up by 1.11 and 1.21 per cent.
Major gainers on the index were Cipla, Dr Reddy's Lab, Bajaj Auto, ICICI, Ranbaxy, HLL, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and NTPC, all up betwen 1.12 and 2.82 per cent.
Besides the losers on the index were ONGC, Satyam, Wipro, ITC and BHEL all down betwen 0.32 and 0.91 per cent.
