Mizoram ex-legislators to be benifited through PDS

Aizawl, Sep 01 (UNI) Mizoram government has decided to offer ration benifits to the former state legislators through Public Distribution System(PDS).

Talking to newsmen, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Minister K Sangthuama assured the Former Legislators Association of Mizoram (FLAM), members that steps had been taken to protect their benefits.

FLAM had earlier informed the minister regarding their problems in receiving the allotment of rice and sugar.

They had requested the minister to make provisions where they could draw their allotments in any public distribution fair price shop.

FLAM also requested the minister to provide the benefits to the widows of the former legislators.

Mr Sangthuama said the state had problems in procuring its full quota of essential commodities, however, he assured the former legislators to avail the benefits through PDS UNI BB SNR PP KLC1256
