Injured Trezeguet out France's first two Euro qualifiers
PARIS, Sep 1 (Reuters) Striker David Trezeguet has pulled out of France's Euro 2008 qualifiers against Georgia and Italy because of a muscle injury, the French team's spokesman said today.
''David Trezeguet has left this morning in order to return to his club. He is out for the next two matches. He won't be replaced for the time being,'' he said.
France were due to fly to Tbilisi this morning for tomorrow's match against Georgia, their Group B opener. They host world champions Italy in Paris next week.
Called up for these two games, Trezeguet complained about a muscle problem when he joined the French squad at Clairefontaine training camp on Monday morning.
The Juventus striker missed the training session on Tuesday and coach Raymond Domenech said that there was little chance he could recover in time.
