Industrial Exhibition in Srinagar from Sep 12

Srinagar, Sep 1 (UNI) A 12-day industrial exhibition will be held at the Kashmir Haat here from September 12, an official spokesman said today.

He said the arrangements for the exhibition were finalised at a high-level meeting held here last eveing with Industries Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora in the chair.

The meeting decided that the exhibition would be inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad on September 12 at 1700 hrs.

Business hours have been fixed between 1400 hrs and 1600 hrs where as the exhibition will be opened for the general public from 1600 hrs to 2030 hrs daily till September 23, the spokesman said.

The Directorate of Handicrafts would maintain Urban Haat, the sanitation arrangements would be made by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation while the Information and Public Relation Department would arrange cultural programmes, he added.

The spokesman said matters pertaining to illumination of the Kashmir Haat, parking facilities, amusement and recreational programmes, security arrangements, supply of portable drinking water and electricity, refreshment for general public, allotment of stalls for display of products and medical facilities were also discussed threadbare in the meeting.
