Electronic board display to be installed at 4 railway stations Ratwa

Panaji, Sep 1 (UNI) Union Minister of state for Railways Naranbhai Ratwa said the electronic boards display system showing the arrivals and departures of the trains will be installed at four Konkan railway station - Ratnagiri, Cheplun in Maharastra, Margao in Goa and Udupi in Karnataka within three months.

Mr Ratwa was speaking after presenting the Enterprising Chamber Award 2006 to Nitin Kunkolienkar, the president of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the presence of Goa Governor S C Jamir at a function organised here today.

The award was announced earlier by the Western and Southern Business Association, which annually bestows as a recognition of service to industry.

The Managing director of Konkan Railway Corporation Dr K K Ghokle, who was also present said Goa government had already withdrawn the sky bus project however, state government of Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Karnataka have invited proposal from Konkan Railway. corporation to operate sky bus at Hydrebad, Kolkata and Managlore. Adding the safety clearness process of sky bus project is likely to be completed by April 2007.
