Court releases all 34 people on bail

Mumbai, Sep 1 (UNI) A local court today released on bail, all 34 people including 29 bar girls who were arrested by the city police late last night for running the bar beyond the permissible time limit.

A Nagpada police team had raided Bharat Bar at Nagpada Junction at about 0115 hrs for allegedly running business beyond the permissible time limit. In the raid, the police team had arrested 29 bar girls, the bar owner, manager and three other staff members.

Metropolitan Magistrate K W Waitunde of Mazgaon court released the bar owner, manager and three staff members on bail of Rs 3,000 each, while 29 bar girls were released on bail of Rs 500 each.
