Bhopal, Sep 1 (UNI) The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) court, hearing a criminal case relating to underworld don Abu Salem's girlfriend Monica Bedi in a fake passport case, has adjourned the matter to September 14 after Bhopal Police failed to present supplementary challans in the case.

CJM Dinesh Kumar Dangi deferred the hearing as police failed to present supplementary challans against Monica, Salem and his wife Samira Jumani in the case yesterday.

A case was registered against the accused for obtaining fake passports in the name of Danish Baig, Rubina Baig and Faujia Usman at Bhopal's Koh-i-fiza police station on November 2001.

Salem's local accomplices -- Syed Abdul alias Shiraj and his brother Baba Abu alias Kabir -- were arrested and later released on bail.

Monica was presented before the court on December 5, 2005 in the case. The court sent her to two days' police remand.
