SBI offers rebate in interest rate on housing, car loans

Indore, Aug 31 (UNI) Country largelst commercil bank, State Bank of India has reduced housing and car loan interest rates for September and October under its Dussehra and Deepawali festival offer.

Bank's Deputy General Manager Salil Kant Saran and Regional Manager Rajeev Sharma told mediapersons today that 0.50 per cent rebate has been given in the interest rates during the offer valid till October 31.

''Five per cent rebate will also be given on processing fee and margin money,'' Mr Saran added.

He said interest rates for housing loan would vary from 8.75 to 9.25 percent for five to 20 years period and for car loan it would be 9.25 to 9.75 per cent for three to seven year period.

Mr Saran said the bank will celebrating insurance month in September and launching new insurance policy for customers.
