Railway traffic resumes on Delhi-Jammu route
Jalandhar, Aug 31 (UNI) Railway traffic resumed this morning on the Delhi-Jammu route, after the disruption following derailment of a goods train near Suchchipind on the outskirts of the city last night.
''The blocked tracks have been cleared and opened for traffic this morning,'' sources said.
Seven wagons of a tanker goods train, heading for Jalandhar, were derailed near Suchchipind last night.
Some trains, including Sealdah-bound Jammu-Sealdah Express, Delhi-bound Jammu Summer Special, Delhi-bound Udhampur-Delhi Samparak Kranti, Pune-bound Jhelum Express and Jammu-bound Jaipur-Jammu Puja Express, were diverted via Amritsar.
Some other trains, including Jaipur-bound Jammu-Jaipur Puja Express, Rishikesh-bound Jammu-Hemkund Express and Delhi-bound Jammu Mail, remained stranded at different stations due to the derailment.
