President prorogues both Houses of Parliament

New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) President A P J Abdul Kalam has prorogued both Houses of Parliament.

The eighth session of the Lok Sabha, which commenced on July 24, was prorogued by the President yesterday, a Lok Sabha Secretariat said in a release here today.

The Rajya Sabha, which adjourned sine die on August 25, was also prorogued by the President yesterday, a Rajya Sabha Secretariat release said today.
