Kolkata experiences sunny weather after a few swampy days
Kolkata, Aug 31 (UNI) After continuous rains for the past few days, Kolkatans relieved to find the sun sprinkling warm rays making it a pleasant day today.
The rains, influenced under the low pressure in coastal Orissa, have lessened with the low pressure over Bay of Bengal weakening, Met officials said.
However, they said there might be a few drizzles late in the evening as the monsoon is still active.
They further forecast a partly cloudy sky with spells of thundershowers at a few isolated areas in West Bengal.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 29.8 degree Celsius, which is one degree below normal, while the minimum was 25.4 degree Celsius.
The rainfall recorded in last 24 hours was six mm.
