Iquara change its name, launches a hosts of products

Mumbai, Aug 31 (UNI) Iquara Telecoms India, today announced a change in it's name to YOU Telecom India and the launch of a host of other products, in a bid to tap into the ever increasing broadband internet market in the country.

Making a formal announcement to this effect before the media here, the CEO of the company, EVS Chakravarthy, said that Iquara Telecoms India will be henceforth known as YOU Telecom India. The broadband internet provider has its presence in cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Gurgaon, Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Vizag and Navi Mumbai.

Some of the new products that were launched by the company include 'YOU call services', 'Turbo broadband sevices', 'YOU play services' and others. While the customers can make calls to many countries at a discount of 75 per cent under the 'YOU call service, they can enjoy broadband speed of up to 512 kbps for a monthly rent of Rs 650 under the 'Turbo broadband services. 'YOU play' subcribers can download any game from over 100 exciting games on their PCs for a monthly rent of Rs 199. The three segments in which the company has got its presence currently include residential, corporate and SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises).

Mr Chakravarthy told UNI, that his company was in touch with the builders in all the 11 cities for the installation of wi-fi broadband connections in their real estate so as to add value to their properties. The facility allows the electronic devices to talk to each other.

The company has already invested Rs 300 crore and has plans to invest an additional Rs 50 crore within next 18 months, he added.
