Haryana Women Sports meet at Karnal from Sept 27

Chandigarh, Aug 31 (UNI) The Haryana Sports and Youth Programme Department will hold the 20th Haryana State Women Sports Festival at Karnal from September 27 to 29.

A spokesman of the Department said the competitions would be held in Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming, Badminton, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Kho-Kho, Handball, Volleyball, Basketball and Hockey.

In these competitions, 117 sportspersons and 110 trainers would participate from all over the state.

During this sports meet, teams would be selected by the conveners for representation from the state in the National Women Sports Festival, 2006-07.

The District Sports and Youth Programme Officer would be appointed as the contingent in-charge along with the contingent of each district.
