Gulf Gate to open branches in New York, London

Kochi, Aug 31 (UNI) Kerala-based Gulf Gate hair fixing company is to shortly open centres in New York and London, the company's managing director A P S Hussain said today.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Hussain said the centres were likely to be opened within three months' time.

The company presently has 18 branches in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and the Middle-East countries including the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Gulf Gate general manager K M Subhash said the company, which started functioning six years ago, had an annual business turnover of about Rs one crore.

Describing hair fixing as a permanent and safe way of curing baldness, Mr Subhash said the company uses a Canadian technology for the purpose. The synthetic hair is attached to poly skin after sterilization. The nature and colour of the attached hair is fully identical to the natural hair.

While the average cost of treatment for a man was about Rs 15,000, for women it was about Rs 18,000 to Rs 25,000, he said.
