Delimitation Committee meets on new districts in Kashmir

Srinagar, Aug 31 (UNI) The Delimitation Committee has started identifying areas to be included in the newly-created district and tehsils in south Kashmir, an official spokesman said today.

He said the delimitation of the newly-created Kulgam district and other tehsils would be done in proportion to the population.

Delimitation Committee members Mr Mushtaq Ahmad Ganai, Mr Mumtaz Afzal and Mr A G Shahbaz visited Anantnag and held a meeting with the district administration.

The Committee said delimitation would be done keeping in view the administrative convenience, public interest, rationality and benefits to the people on the ground level.
