Deceased Prof Sabharwal's son to appeal to Prez
Bhopal, Aug 31: The son of deceased Professor Harbhajan Singh Sabharwal, Mr Himanshu Sabharwal, will appeal to the President to provide justice in the case of his father's death.
Mr Sabharwal told reporters here that he would write to the President and seek an appointment in this matter.
Raising question on the role of the Madhya Pradesh Government in the whole matter, he said no action had been taken against culprits despite five days having passed since his father died when he was attacked by students in the presence of police in college premises.
He said he was also considering moving the Supreme Court.
Ujjain's Madhav College Prof Sabharwal died when he was allegedly attacked by students irked over postponement of student unions elections on August 26. A CID inquiry has been ordered into the incident, which had charged political atmosphere and shocked academic world in the state.
A murder case has been registered against state ABVP president Shashi Ranjan Akela and secretary Vimal Tomar besides two other accused.
