CPI to organise Janajagrithi Jatha in K'taka
Bangalore, Aug 31 (UNI) Charging the JD(S)-BJP coalition Government with indulging in corrupt practices and implementing ''anti-people'' policies, the Communist Party of India (CPI) in Karnataka has decided to organise a Statewide 'Janajagrithi Jatha', starting from Gulbarga on September 11.
In a statement here today, CPI State Secretary Dr Siddanagowda Patil said the proposed Jatha would culminate in Bangalore on September 27, also the birth anniversary of martyr Bhagat Singh. It would create awareness among the masses about the ''misdeeds'' of the State Government. Other Left parties, Dalit organisations, farmers' movements and well known intellectuals and personalities would also take part in the Jatha.
He alleged that while neglecting the woes of the people, affected by both drought and flood, the coalition partners were competing with each other in gaining control over illegal transactions.
