Aqeel Khan to take on Sharan in ITF Tennis single's final
New Delhi, Aug 31 (UNI) Top seed Aqeel Khan of Pakistan booked his place in the final with a come-from-behind win over sixth seeded Indian Aditya Madkekar in the semi-final of the ITF Satelite Master's tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex here today.
Khan, who carved out a 6-7(10), 6-2, 6-4 win, will take on in the summit clash fourth seeded Indian Divij Sharan, who struggled to get the better of compatriot Navdeep Singh 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the other semi-final.
In the doubles, Indo-Pak pair of Vishal Punna/Aqeel Khan upset top seed Mushtafa Ghouse and Ravishankar Pathanjali of India 7-6(3), 6-2 in the semi-final today.
They will take on second seeded Indian pair of Divij Sharan/Navdeep Singh who edged past third seeded Indian duo of Vijay Kannan and Ashutosh Singh 7-6(3), 7-6(5).
