Woman's body found in a gunny bag

Hyderabad, Aug 30 (UNI) The body of a woman was found in a gunny bag near a theatre in Medchal on the city outskirts here today.

Police said the woman, identified as Prabhavathi (40), was a resident of Puduru Village. She was a divorcee and a mother of 19-year-old son. She was staying with her sister.

The body bore strangulation marks. Property dispute was suspected to be the reason behind the murder.

Meanwhile, a report from Adilabad said Nagaraju (32) was killed by his drunkard father following a scuffle over a minor issue at Nenella Mandal today.

Police said S Shankar (60), a retired Singareni Colleries employee , picked up a quarrel with his son Nagaraju over a minor issue after he got drunk.

In a fit of anger, Shankar hit his son on the head with a pestle killing him on the spot.
