UPI purchases EUR 43.5 mln products from Germany's Bayer

New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) United Phosphorus Ltd (UPI) today said it has purchased certain crop protection products for 43.5 million euros from Germany's Bayer CropScience AG, to enhance its product portfolio.

The products include systemic carbamate herbicidal active ingredient Asulam and two insecticidal products.

As per the agreement, Bayer has retained certain rights related to non-agricultural uses in strategic markets, a company statement said.

Earlier this month, UPI increased its shareholding to 100 per cent in Crop Serve (Pty) Ltd, South Africa through its Mauritius subsidiary.
