Ultras involved in Laterhar landmine explosion arrested

Latehar, Aug 30 (UNI) The police under ''Operation Cobra'' in the past three days have arrested eight CPI (Maoist) ultras, four of whom were involved in the latest landmines explosion at Kaer village killing two policemen in the district.

Superintendent of Police Rabikant Dhan today said of the arrested Sudhir Sinha, Krishna Shah, Kanhai Shah and Manish Sinha were involed in the series of landmines explosions last week in the district.

Security forces carried out intensive raids at various places and the eight were arrested at Barkadih, Hara, Chipadohar and Kumandi, he said.

Two regular rifles, 125 cartridges, batteries, wires, camera and some Naxalite literatures were recovered from them, the SP said.
