Three hardcore militants nabbed

Imphal, Aug 30 (UNI) Three hardcore militants were apprehended in Manipur in separate incidents during the past 24 hours.

Police said a team of Imphal East commandos arrested three cadres of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) during search operations.

The three were identified as Sharat, Alun and Somendro, police said.

Meanwhile, the militant outfit People's United Liberation Front (PULF) has asked 27 persons to surrender to the outfit for alleged misconduct.

It issued the list of the 27 persons to the media. The list included teachers, government employees and elected Pradhans.

It warned that they should surrender within five days failing which capital punishment would be awarded.
