SIMI leader in police custody

Ujjain, Aug 30: Students Islamic Movement of India general secretary Imran Ansari, who had been detained in Khandwa jail, was remanded to police custody here till September 4.

Police said Ansari was brought here yesterday and produced before the court. He was wanted in connection with distributing objectionable literature to another Simi activist Aqueel, Qureshi who had been arrested on June 26. Another arrested in this case Mohammad Safi is now in Kota jail.
