Quota Bill for unaided institutions in due course : Arjun

New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) A Bill providing for 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in unaided higher educational institutions too will not have to wait long.

This was indicated by Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh while talking to newspersons here.

''That Bill too will be brought in Parliament in due course of time,'' said Mr Singh.

The legislation for introducing OBC quota in government aided institutions of higher learning like the IITs and IIMs was introduced on the last day of the monsoon session of Parliament which concluded on August 25.

The Bill has been referred to the department-related Standing Committee which will debate its finer points. It will be introduced in its final form in the winter session of Parliament.
