Itanagar, Aug 30 (UNI) The one-man high level committee headed by home commissioner V K Singh, constituted to probe into the Donyi-Polo Vidya Bhawan Raffle Lottery (DPVBRL) issue, has invited members of public to present their cases before the committee within a week.

In a circular, the committee said that complaints were received for not holding the draw as per rules, time schedule and venue as notified.

Moreover, the committee has received complaint that the draw was held secretly in presence of few selected persons leading to 12-hour Capital Complex and 36-hour state-wide bandhs called by All Arunachal Pradesh Donyi-Polo Vidya Bhawan Raffle Lottery Ticket Holders' Committee (AAPDPVBRLTHC) on August 21 and August 25-26 respectively.

The committee has to find out the causes leading to such complaints and disturbance of public peace in the interest of the general public.

Meanwhile, appreciating the cabinet decision to form a high level committee to inquire into the affairs of the Donyi-Polo Vidya Bhawan Raffle Lottery to honour the sentiment of the people the All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) has expressed dissatisfaction over its time frame.

The union, in a release, suggested reducing the time to 15 days instead of a month as announced by the state government and expanding the committee by inducting one member each from AAPDPVBRLTHC, AAPSU, All Nyishi Students' Union (ANSU), besides, a government officer, a retired IAS officer and a legal expert for transparency in the inquiry.
