Nepal to send 850 troops to Lebanon
Kathmandu, Aug 30 (UNI) The Nepal government has decided to send 850 soldiers of its Army to the UN Peacekeeping Force in Lebanon.
The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting held here yesterday, Minister for Information and Communication and Spokesman of the Government, Dilendra Prasad Badu, said.
Nepal has been contributing soldiers to the UN since 1950s and Nepali soldiers have served in almost all the conflict-ravaged places around the globe under the UN.
