Natl Women's 'B' from September 19

Chennai, Aug 30 (UNI) The 33rd National 'B' Chess Championship for women will be held here from September 19 to 26 with a prize fund of Rs 74,000, according to Tamil Nadu Chess Association Secretary Manuel Aaron.

The championship will serve as the qualifying tournament for the National Women's 'A' event. The top 20 players from the 11-round Swiss system in National 'B' would qualify for the National 'A', he said.

Each State Chess Association can send four players for this event, he said.

Chennai had last hosted the National 'B' in 1998.
