Hyderabad, Aug 30 (UNI) Opposition Leader and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu today charged Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy with provoking his party members to mount a counter attack on the Opposition.

Talking to mediapersons after the House was abruptly adjourned due to a stalemate when there was a verbal dual between Congress Member Challa Rama Krishna Reddy and TDP Deputy Leader T Devender Goud after the latter refused to appologise for his remarks against the former, Mr Naidu alleged though the Chief Minister had the responsibility for smooth conduct of the proceedings as Leader of the House, he was ''provoking Congress members.'' Mr Naidu also alleged the government was creating a situation in the House where debate on the land acquisition for the outer ring road was not possible, "as it did not want the debate".

He said the government was afraid that all irregularities would come to light through such debate.

Mr Naidu said the Opposition would raise the land acquisition issue once again tomorrow and oppose all attempts by the ruling party to block the debate.

The government, instead of giving information sought by the Opposition, mounted a counter-attack from the beginning of the Monsoon Session of the Assembly, he alleged.
