Manipur CM discusses development with Manmohan
New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed various developmental issues of the state.
The Chief Minister invited Dr Singh to visit the state. Mr Ibobi Singh was closeted with the Prime Minister for about 20 minutes.
The Chief Minister had met Congress President Sonia Gandhi last evening and discussed issues pertaining to the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
The present assembly will complete its term on February 21, 2007.
He had also met Women and Child Welfare Minister Renuka Choudhary and discussed a number of projects for the upliftment of women and child health in the state.
Mr Singh is also expected to meet Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee late this evening, sources said.
