Luxury bus with Shatabdi facilities

Chandigarh, Aug 30 (UNI) The Haryana Transport Department has proposed to launch a super luxury bus with facilities at par with the high-profile train Shatabdi Express on the Chandigarh-New Delhi route.

The bus would be fitted with the latest facilities such as web-enabled personal TV set attached with each seat, a fax machine, a PCO and a toilet, Haryana Chief Secretary Prem Prashant said while talking to mediapersons here today.

Mr Prashant said initially, this coach would be run on trial basis. Two buses would be plied on the route in the beginning and the fare would range from Rs 800 to Rs 850 per head.

He said the bus would aim at catering to the demands of the high-end consumers who prefer working while travelling due to their busy schedule.

The Chief Secretary said the Haryana Udai Bus Services would soon be launched in the National Capital Region (NCR). These buses would run on CNG.
