'Krrish' effect lands 5-year-old in hospital

Patna, Aug 30 (UNI) A 5-year-old boy's effort to imitate reel life landed him in hospital here.

Influenced by the 'charismatic' and 'supernatural' powers of 'Krrish' in the eponymous film, Shivam jumped from the fifth floor of his house to retrieve a ball on Monday. He had to be admitted in the ICU of Magadha hospital.

The boy, a resident of Bahadurpur in Kankarbagh area, broke his limbs, sustained severe injuries in chest, head and abdomen while performing the ''brave'' act but was stated to be out of danger.

''The boy was brought in a critical condition but is now out of danger,'' doctors treating him said.

Some of his friends said since watching the film 'Krrish' Shivam had been trying to imitate the heros style of jumping, running and even speaking and wore the 'Krrish' mask given free on purchase of a branded soap.
