Kerala Govt orders vigilance probe into PSU appointments
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 30 (UNI) The Kerala Government today decided to order a vigilance inquiry into the 'backdoor' appointments in the public sector units and Sports Council during the previous Congress-led United Democratic Front regime.
This was announced by Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan after a meeting of the state Cabinet.
He said the Cabinet also decided to give free ration for two weeks for those affected by sea erosion. A sum of Rs 500 each would be given to 299 employees of the Alappuzha port, who were jobless.
