Infotech Enterprises Ltd inks pact with IBM

New Delhi, Aug 30: Infotech Enterprises Ltd today announced it has entered into an agreement with IBM to assist clients across the globe in accelerating the development of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Engineering solutions for the manufacturing industry.

The Company has inked the pact with IBM through its wholly-owned subsidiary InfoTech Enterprises America Inc, as per a statement issued today.

The association will enable Infotech and IBM to provide the broadest and deepest professional consulting and solutions skills to address a wide range of PLM implementation and integration needs, it said.

The agreement calls for IBM and the Infotech to provide project management enterprise integration, design engineering and software technology capabilities to support a wide range of PLM application platforms, ranging from CAE, CAD/CAM/PDM, to SCM and MRO.

According to the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), global spending for engineering services is currently estimated at 750 billion dollar per year and by 2020, the figure is expected to increase to more than 1 trillion dollar.

Commenting on the agreement, company's CMD Mohan Reddy BVR said, ''I'm very excited about this relationship. It will take us closer to our vision or being a full scale solutions provider in the Engineering Services space.

''I believe the combined strengths of InfoTech Enterprises and IBM will provide a compelling value proposition to customers across the globe.''
