HC refuses to interfere in 'Bombay Mall' demolition order

Allahabad, Aug 30 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today declined to interfere with the demolition order of 'Bombay Mall', situated in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh.

However, the court directed to release of the appeallant (contemnor), who was in jail following an order by single judge bench.

The bench, comprising Justices M C Jain and K K Mishra, passed this order on an appeal filed by Mukesh Kumar Jain, who was convicted and sent to jail by a single judge order in a contempt case.

The single judge had also directed the demolition of the mall.
