Haryana govt announces Rs two lakh grant for Sandeep

Shahbad, Aug 30 (UNI) The Haryana government has announced a grant of Rs two lakh for national hockey player Sandeep Singh, who had sustained a bullet injury last week when the revolver of a RPF personnel accidentally went off in the Delhi bound Shatabadi Express near Ambala.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here yesterday while taking part in a function organised by the Haryana Olympic Association on the occasion of the birthday of hockey wizard Dhyan Chand.

Sandeep, a drag flick specialist who was admitted to the PGI, Chandigarh, following the bullet injury, was discharged from hospital yesterday.
