GSPC inks pact with Russian company for joint bidding for blocks

Ahmedabad, Aug 30 (UNI) The state-owned Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) today signed a pact with Sunetra Resources Ltd of Russia for cooperation in joint bidding for blocks in India, and in the Astrakhan and the Caspean Sea areas.

They also agreed to develop LNG terminals in Gujarat and work for associated gas supply, a GSPC statement said.

The two companies will also support and advise in developing energy related higher education establishments in the state.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Mr Steve Lowden, CEO of Sunetra and D J Pandian, MD, GSPC.
