Godrej Lifespace launched

Chennai, Aug 30: Godrej and Boyce Manufacturing Company Ltd, today launched "Godrej Lifespace,'' a new concept in retailing for home decor and interior solutions.

The lifespace store offers a wide range of contemporary and stylish home and office furniture, home appliances, security systems and other lifestyle oriented products.

"Godrej lifespace is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a convenient solution in home and office decor under a single roof," Mr Shyam Motwani, Vice President and Business Head (Retailing) said.

Talking to newspersons, he said the company would open three more similar stores in the city and focus on tier two and tier three cities in the country in the next three years.

"We propose to open 80 to 90 stores in the next two to three years and step up the turnover to Rs 300 crore by the year 2010," he said.

The company would also instal catalogue touch screen kiosks at Malls in all major cities in the country. This had already been launched in Malls in Mumbai, he informed.

Besides looking at more cities in Tamil Nadu, Godrej would open at least four stores each in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in the next six months, he added.
