Four-lane Mysore-Bangalore highway to be opened tomorrow

Mysore, Aug 30 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will formally inaugurate the four-lane Mysore-Bangalore highway from this end tomorrow.

The 134-km stretch, which has been upgraded into a four-lane highway, would ensure a hassle-free, smooth ride for passengers in just two hours. Work on upgrading the Srirangapatna-Mysore stretch of the highway into a six-lane road would commence tomorrow at a cost of Rs 18 crore. It is expected to be completed in 15 months.

Besides the inauguration of the highway, Mr Kumaraswamy would participate in various developmental projects worth Rs 120 crore at Nanjangud.

The Chief Minister would also lay the foundation stone for developmental works, ahead of Panchalinga Darshan at Talakadu in November.
