Dollex Industries to double ethanol production

New Delhi, Aug 30: Dollex Industries Ltd today said it will double the production of ethanol at its plant in Maharashtra.

''The company has embarked on an aggressive strategy for boosting production of ethanol through captive usage of molasses which will be produced at its newly-acquired Godavari Manar Sugar Mills at Nanded,'' Dollex Industries said in a statement.

Earlier, the company procured the raw material for ethanol production like -- molasses and rectified spirit from external sugar manufacturers and other by-products.

However, with the acquisition of Godavari Manara co-operative sugar manufacturing facility, the company will have a pricing edge over its competitors as well as double its ethanol capacity, the statement added.
