DG Coast Guard Paleri to retire tomorrow
New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) Director General Coast Guard Dr Prabhakarn Paleri will retire tomorrow.
Dr Paleri, who took over as DG Coast Guard on February 28 this year, will relinquish his office after 36 years of service.
The first recipient of the Tatrakshak Medal, Dr Paleri has been with the Coast Guard since its formative years.
He had held the posts of Deputy Director General, Regional Commander Coast Guard Region (West), Commander Coast Guard District (Kerala&Lakshadweep) and (West Bengal) besides commanding the first Advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel ICGS Samar and also the training ship ICGS Varuna.
